We have a great competition for you this Halloween, and there are two prizes we are giving away. One winner will get a DVD of The Canterville Ghost and the other one will get a DVD of the first series of Channel Zero: Season One Candle Cove. All you have to do is to pick which one you would like to win and enter via our website, facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram (details below) and you could be one of our lucky Halloween winners.

The Canterville Ghost

I have always loved the Oscar Wilde story The Canterville Ghost and this 1996 adaptation of the classic tale features an all-star cast; Patrick Stewart alongside Neve Campbell, Joan Sims, Donald Sinden and Cherie Lunghi.

When her family relocates from America to a sprawling English stately home, teenager Ginny Otis (Campbell) is less than impressed and wants to be sent straight back home. But she is in for quite a surprise when things go bang in the night and other strange events start to happen. These are soon explained when she encounters the ghost of Sir Simon de Canterville (Stewart), who is only visible to Ginny and her brothers. When she learns his sorrowful tale, she vows to help the grouchy ghost lift the curse that will keep him haunting the corridors of Canterville Hall forever.

This is a charming tale that will enchant and entertain the whole family, and is available on Blu-ray and DVD on 30 October 2017 from Second Sight Films.

Channel Zero: Season One Candle Cove

Described  by movie website Collider as ‘a combination of A Nightmare on Elm Street and Twin Peaks’ comes Channel Zero: Season One Candle Cove, one of the most terrifying and talked about series of recent years.

Inspired by a Creepypasta blog post by Kris Staub, Syfy’s spine-chilling six-part anthology series was created by Nick Antosca (Hannibal) and stars Paul Schneider (The Tunnel) and Abigail Pniowsky (Arrival), it has been critically acclaimed by TV and horror fans alike.

Child psychologist Mike Painter is growing increasingly suspicious that children’s TV show Candle Cove may have played a role in a series of nightmarish events from his childhood, including the disappearance of his twin brother in the summer of 1988. When Mike returns home to investigate what happened all those years ago, he soon discovers that whatever caused the horror before, may be happening again.
Channel Zero: Season One Candle Cove (2016) makes its UK DVD and Blu-ray debut thanks to Second Sight and will be released on 30th October 2017.
