Much adored for her outlandish input into the London fashion scene, Pam Hogg’s latest collection continued to cement her reputation as a punk provocateur. Featuring a riotous palette in bold and neon shades is not intended for shrinking violets neither are the psychedelic overtones and anarchic statements.
The silhouette was, as ever super-tight with her Spandex leotard signature but again this season she contrasted the trimness with some show-stopping voluminous ensembles from the use of crinolines.
Entitled ‘Lawless’, the SS16 offering gave a nod to her punk principles but was also meant in a wild west sense of the word with many fabulously fringed items. There was furthermore quite epic studding involved for a striking effect and additionally accessories were used daringly from the shockingly high heels to the rock chic berets. Metallics, oversized lapels and flared trousers blended the 70’s and 60’s right back as far as the Jacobean era. Some subtle pop art and hints of retro-futurism felt suddenly dazzlingly modern. The tapestry of all these collective ingredients shows Pam for what she is; A true bastion of individualism and a courageous spirit.
