Kraken – Think Ink Pines – Pop-up Shop & Bar

Remember when we told you last week about the exciting news that Kraken Black Spiced Rum was opening a pop-up shop & bar called ‘Think Ink Pines’, selling black Christmas trees and offering exclusive Kraken cocktails on Hackney Road?

Well, it is open now! And you only have until Sunday to get yourself down there.

We went along to the launch party last night and I think I’m right in saying, a great time was had by all. It was fun and it was different and it involved several snow storms, lots of black foliage and Christmas decorations, the DJ being nearly crushed by a large black fir tree (he was okay! And so was the tree), a very unique rendering of ‘Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer’ and other punky Christmas carols by a band called Heck, a deep sea diver, who may or may not have come face to face with the Kraken, and loads and loads of cocktails containing Kraken rum.

The specially created cocktails (Squid Bite, Black Espresso, The Old Kraken, Perfect Storm and Kraken ‘S’pore’) are delicious and at £5 a pop you can definitely afford a few more drinks than in a swanky West End bar, so you might as well try them all.

So drink with respect.
