This Easter the Coca Cola London Eye has stepped up its game to offer the sweetest deals possible by getting together with West End musical Charlie and The Chocolate Factory and world-renowned Hotel Chocolat to offer very special and exclusive chocolate experiences for young and old alike.
We were invited to be among the first to experience the ‘Hotel Chocolat Chocolate Tasting Experience’ which is geared toward grown-ups as it involves prosecco. We were met at the ticket hall and taken over to the fast lane of the London Eye and in no time we had boarded our capsule along with two hostesses from the London Eye carrying two large suitcases and Anthony, our man from Hotel Chocolat.
After the first round of prosecco had been dispensed the chocolate tasting commenced and Anthony kept the talk both interesting and entertaining, explaining the process from bean to chocolate and giving us sweet treats to try: 70% blended dark chocolate and another coming from just one estate, a piece 100% cocoa bar (which we were told is very healthy indeed), a chocolate where we had to guess the secret ingredient (I won’t tell you what it was) and finally a selection of Hotel Chocolat’s most popular milk and white chocolates. All absolutely delicious, but I wouldn’t have expected anything less from the British chocolatier.
All the while you can enjoy 360 degree views of London from high above -twice! That’s right, there is so much chocolate and fizz that you have to go around a couple of times. And you get a goodie bag to take home. Perfect!
