7th Heaven’s Heavenly House Party

Remember a little while ago we told you about global beauty brand 7th Heaven throwing a three-day Heavenly House Party to celebrate their 30th birthday? Did you go? We certainly hope so, as we enjoyed our visit tremendously.

It was a fabulous event which took place at The Roost in Hackney, East London, last weekend, with each of the former pub’s four floors transformed in to seven immersive heavens, brimming with free food, drink, pampering, entertainment, unique experiences and surprises. All you had to do was book a place, rock up and be pampered by the lovely people of 7th Heaven.

If you couldn’t make it, here are a few pics of what you have missed.

On the ground floor was COCKTAIL HEAVEN – At a fruit and flower-decorated bar, master mixologists from the London Cabaret Club created colourful and potent cocktails inspired by the exotic and natural ingredients in 7th Heaven‘s beauty recipes using Manuka honey, coconut and ginger, to pomegranate, green tea and fresh berries. There was also a lovely garden to while the time away and enjoy the drinks, complete with a bath tub willed with packs of coconut water.

Downstairs was the excellent EIGHTIES HEAVEN – Taking us back to when 7th Heaven started three decades ago this was a brilliant room with a silent disco plus nostalgic surprises from Rubik’s Cubes to Slinkys.  We loved the fun photo booth with the 80’s props! Oh and the drums. And the 80’s music.

Next door was MOVIE HEAVEN – Giant bean bags, unlimited popcorn and screenings of classic Eighties films, like The Breakfast Club, Back to the Future, Pretty in Pink, Dirty Dancing, The Goonies and Labyrinth.

On the first floor was CHOCOLATE HEAVEN – A Willy Wonka inspired extravaganza  featuring chocolatier masterclasses and tasting sessions, food artists and gourmet gadgets like a giant chocolate fountain and a contraption to inhale chocolate vapours, as well as 7th Heaven‘s indulgent chocolate face masks.

Also on the first floor was HERBALIST HEAVEN – This is where we got  to mix our own face masks with fresh and fragrant ingredients under the expert guidance of 7th Heaven’s master alchemist. She helped identify skin types and then making the potions, which were packed up beautifully for us to take home. In case you are wondering, my clay mask was made with avocado, strawberries, and almond, olive and orange oils. I loved it!

Up on the top floor was WELLNESS HEAVEN – the ultimate destination for experiences for the body and mind. I took part in laughter yoga, which I enjoyed very much, but there were also meditation and Mindfulness classes as well as Reiki massage.

And finally BEAUTY HEAVEN – where you could experience free 7th Heaven facials and treatments for the hands, feet and body, from the cruelty-free, 100% natural, vegetarian and high performing range.

Gregory Butcher, the founder and entrepreneur of 7th Heaven, and his family were on hand to cut the most fabulous birthday cake I have ever seen and celebrate with their guests the successful three decades of a brand that has gone from strength to strength, now selling more than 35 million face masks a year across 87 countries.

Jealous? We did tell you this was going to be great. Everybody we met was enjoying themselves and having a great time and so were we. What a fab birthday party!

Happy Birthday 7th Heaven! Here’s to the next 30!
