The inaugural London Motor Show is taking place this weekend at Battersea Evolution in Battersea Park and it was officially opened by Prince Michael of Kent at an exclusive preview on Thursday May 5th.
More than 130 models from 40 car makers are on show, including Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Ferrari, Ford, Jeep, Lamborghini, Rolls-Royce and Volvo.
Sports car maker MG unveiled its new GS sports utility vehicle, and for the first time the Bentley Bentayga, Ferrari 488 Spider, Lamborghini Huracan Spyder and the Rolls-Royce Dawn are on display in Britain. Japanese car maker Mitsuoka Motors are showcasing their limited edition £57.000 Brooklands Roadster.
Also on display is ‘The Bloodhound’, the car in which RAF fighter pilot Andy Green will attempt to break the land speed record and reach 1,000mph next year in South Africa.
There are also book signings and Q&A guest panels with motoring celebrities Sir Stirling Moss, Nigel Mansell, Tiff Needell (President of The London Motor Show) and Ben Collins (The Stig from Top Gear).
