Introducing Below the Cut at Hanger SW6

Meat lovers can anticipate something special at the end of September, Hanger SW6’s opening of Below The Cut, a drinking den serving liquor & serious cocktails alongside dishes and bar snacks championing the unsung hero of the meat world, the hanger steak.
Hanger’s hideout will be serving an extensive list of liquors, alongside their cocktail menu showcasing American inspired classics such as the Hanger Old Fashioned as well as a few twists including the Pharmaceutical Stimulant made with grey goose, patron xo café, 80 stone espresso and vanilla and the G&T Vesper, with birchalls earl grey infused sipsmith London dry, sky vodka, martini bianco, BTW tonic syrup and grapefruit created using the in-house Balloon Infuser. Home-infused gins will be a main feature of the regularly changing cocktail menu, with seasonal ingredients and unique flavour combinations.
On the menu, the Hanger signature steak will be amongst the top picks alongside bar snacks such as parmesan & truffle oil chips; mini steak sandwich with chargrilled hanger steak, sticky onions, Dijon, watercress and salt & vinegar squid with lemon oil aioli.
Below the Cut will hosting live music nights from acoustic evenings to DJ sets, supporting London based artists. The local haunt will be hosting regular Boozy Bingo and Tipsy Trivia events, and for those who want to sip single malt with Shakespeare, the book swap stop encourages fellow Londoners to donate and exchange books with each other. If you prefer games over Grisham, Below the Cut has you covered with old school gaming such as Giant Jenga, Kerplunk and Cluedo.
On the weekend Basement Bottomless Brunch will be served from 12pm – 5pm, American inspired brunch dishes such as steak ‘n’ eggs made with hanger steak, fried duck egg, hash browns, hanger relish or Hanger Florence eggs with hanger steak, toasted crumpets, poached eggs, spinach, lemon avocado aioli, all served with bottomless Bloody Mary’s or seasonal Bellinis.
Below the Cut makes use of reclaimed furniture, leather sofas and concrete floors. Rugs are scattered throughout the living room style space and spotlights light up artwork adorning the walls. The palate is a mixture of deep blues, chocolate browns and charcoal grey with hints of burnt orange, creating the ideal hangout space at Hanger’s bar.
