Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album and the 1967 Summer of Love, Liam Gallagher’s clothing line Pretty Green have collaborated with The Beatles and Apple Corps to release a very special collection.
Each item of the collection was inspired by actual outfits The Beatles wore as well as by artwork and music from the Sgt. Pepper album and it includes for example the psychedelic Walrus Kaftan, vintage style Hello, Goodbye and Good Morning T-shirts, the Get Back Polo and the Mr. Kite grandad shirt. Other key items are the Strawberry Fields Coat, the Pepper Jacket, the Lonely Hearts Parka and Rita Cord Jeans.
After the world launch in Liverpool, Pretty Green threw another party at their flagship store in London’s Carnaby Street in association with Jocks & Nerds magazine to celebrate the occasion. DJ Stuart Patterson played vinyls from the 1960s, including an original Sgt. Pepper album and other Beatles 45’s and the Viva Quartet and Beatles tribute act Vini, Lindsay and Isaac performed covers of the fab four. Meanwhile guests could inspect the collection in all its glory whilst sipping a cold Estrella Damm.
