You’ll remember a while ago we told you about Quaglino’s fantastic live music program Q-Live which launched a special Q Legends programme for the summer, with the iconic restaurant welcoming an eclectic mix of musicians and bands to play for diners at the restaurant and I can tell you that the autumn season is just as good.

Last week, we were invited to see (and hear) 80’s legend and former frontman of Kat Kool & the Kool Cats, Streetband and Q-Tips, Paul Young. Paul took to Quaglino’s stage with his band to give us an hour long celebration of his greatest hits, playing classics like “Every time You Go Away”, “Love of the Common People”, “Wherever I Lay My Hat”, “Come Back and Stay”, “I’m Gonna Tear Your Playhouse Down” and two of my personal favourites, “Everytime You Go Away” and “Senza Una Donna”. The set was hugely enjoyable and Paul and his band were in great form.

We had a great view of the Grand Stage from the Mezz Bar where we enjoyed a few delicious cocktails from the extensive menu which celebrates the history of the venue and bar nibbles including prawn & crab salad, chicken goujons with a smoky mayonnaise and chilli calamari.

Next up, and due to popular demand the venue will be hosting another night with cinematic classical pianist OKIEM on 26 October. OKIEM has been compared to composers such as Ludovico Einaudi & Olafur Arnalds. The unique wealth of experience with top class artists helps to shape his unique sound, compositions, and astounding live performance that continues to captivate his audiences. Find out more here! 

Rounding off the series, Quaglino’s are delighted to present ‘The Voice of M People’ and the incredibly talented soul singer, Heather Small on 16 November. For one night only Heather will join the Quaglino’s stage alongside her full band to perform an intimate set of well-known hits. Dance away and sing along to ‘Moving On Up’ and ‘Search For The Hero’ as well as classics from her successful solo albums. Find out more here!
