Once in a while you come across a shop you want to tell all your friends about.
Volte Face is one of those shops. On Great Ormond Street, just around the corner of Lambs Conduit Street, which is also a haven for lovers of independent shops, is this little gem; brimful with beautiful, clever, useful, well-designed, different, quirky and interesting products that you won’t see in every high street shop.

From hand embroidered jewellery by Macon & Lesquoy to iconic stationery brand Moleskine, from hand selected books on a range of subjects to temporary tattoos, from tote bags to leather (and cork!) wallets, from cute animal nightlights to candles smelling of coffee and bread, from one of a kind T-shirts to cult items by designers like David Shrigley, The Guerilla Girls, Atsuko Matano, from School of Life merchandise to the perfect birthday card – there are presents for cat and dog lovers, cyclists, travellers, architects, small (and big!) children, fashionistas, cooks, artists, puzzlers, readers, gardeners and just about everybody else I can think of.
Why not pop over and see for yourself on Thursday, December 7th when Volte Face is part of the Lamb Conduit & Rugby Streets Christmas festivities? There will be special discounts, mulled wine and other treats.
You can visit the shop Monday to Saturday (and even on a Sunday in the run up to Christmas) or browse their website and order online for delivery worldwide.
