Merchant House has teamed up with Irish distillery Glendalough to serve up bespoke cocktails using Glendalough Gin & Whiskey.
We went to a special preview of the menu at Merchant House, tasting the cocktails and listening to live music from Irish Singer Red Robb.
From refreshing Wild Botanical & Tonic, a gin and tonic using the delicious gin made with foraged botanicals from around Glendalough’s home in County Wicklow, or an equally invigorating Homeland Highball with gin, apple, cucumber and seltzer to the sweet Heart of Ireland made with double barrel whiskey, pineapple & aperitif and the best House Irish Coffee I have tasted in a long time, the award-winning Merchant House bar team have come up with a menu that will ensure you have a very happy St. Patrick’s Day.
We also met Kevin Keenan, one of the founders of Glendalough Distillery, who personally introduced us to Glendalough’s new rare and prized whiskey cask programme during a tasting in the “The Brig” – Merchant House’s brand new hidden bar, which is (probably) London’s smallest bar.
The Brig can accommodate 2 – 4 guests, is bookable by the hour and you will have your own personal bartender, play your own music, and enjoy bespoke cocktails. All your drinks are included in the hourly rate.
