Coming Soon: The Accidental Adventures of Sherlock Holmes

Tobacco Tea Theatre Company Presents:
The Accidental Adventures of Sherlock Holmes
24th – 28th July 2018

The smash-hit Holmes Parody by Christopher Cutting comes to London – with a new Dr Watson!
Here’s another great evening out for all you London people! I am very excited about this one, as I am lover of crime fiction and have read the whole canon of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, as well as some of the countless books and fan fiction by other writers using the same characters. And then there have been so many movies and TV series featuring Holmes and Watson, that they feel like old friends or acquaintances. I expect that this comedy play will turn all our preconceptions about the them on the head, I can’t wait to see it.

Here’s the plot in a nut shell:
When Sherlock Holmes unknowingly murders his own client, the game is on to track down the criminal mastermind who did it – Holmes himself! Does Watson’s rent have anything to do with this accident? Has this case been secretly planned by a narrative genius? And could Moriarty’s hunger for new detective fiction fuel a global terror plot of unimaginable proportions? Join the world-famous detective as he unravels the strangest case of his career…
Expect extraordinary plot twists, metafiction, twisted logic and almost unparalleled entertainment!

Three versatile actors bring you this witty, absurd take on Arthur Conan Doyle’s creation. Tobacco Tea are proud to announce the casting of a new actor taking on the role of Dr Watson. Sophie Milnes will be joining original cast members Jasmine Atkins-Smart (Sherlock Holmes) and Joshua Phillips (Professor Moriarty).

The Accidental Adventures of Sherlock Holmes is touring festivals across the UK after three years of sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe and a sell-out show at Brighton Fringe 2017. This Lecoq style edition of the show was originally directed by critically-acclaimed Lecoq-trained director Anna Marshall.
